The Cayman Islands

The Cayman Islands are a British overseas territory located in the Caribbean Sea and are comprised of multiple islands such as Grand Cayman, Little Cayman, and Cayman Brac. These islands are about 180 miles from Jamaica. Grand Cayman is the largest island as well as the most popular of these islands, receiving about one million visiters each year.


Because of its close proximity to Jamaica, many people who visit the islands consist of Jamaicans. The islands are known for their beauty, with pristine beaches and corals reefs. The beaches feature crystal-clear water and breathtaking natural scenery, which contribute to its high number of tourists. Its pleasant climate also assists in the influx of tourists in the Cayman Islands - approximately 2 million people visit the Cayman Islands each year.


The official language of the Cayman islands is English, and they use the Cayman Islands Dollar as their currency. Although the Cayman Islands are a British territory, their culture is highly influence by the Americas.
